The Inbound Email module enables you to collect your email in real-time from Chameleon-i giving you a 2-way net-native email system linked with your database.
Setting up Inbound Email
To ensure that Chameleon-i receives your inbound Emails successfully, you need to configure your ISP or existing Email client to auto-forward your Emails. You can refer to these instructions for some of the more popular ISPs:
BT Business Email
If your ISP doesn’t feature in this list then we recommend contacting them directly and request that they set up a forwarding rule so that a copy of all emails are forwarded to either firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
Please DO NOT set up a forwarding rule from your email program (Outlook) this is not correct and will result in emails being received from YOUR email address, not the senders. If you are unsure about setting up the forwarding rule please contact our support desk via the live chat facility.
The system will automatically match and store emails in existing contact records in your database giving you a clear email audit.
Chameleon-i offers 3 email module options. Exchange and Gmail Synchronisation which allow you to mirror your Outlook emails and Inbound Email where you can forward emails to your Chameleon-i inbox. If you are unsure which option is right for you, contact our sales team for assistance.
