The Chameleon-i New Job Wizard allows for the creation of bespoke shift patterns. A job can then be edited and interlaced with other shifts to create a “crew” working nights, days etc.
For this example, we will make a 28 day pattern consisting of day shifts, night shifts and rest days. We will repeat this pattern 5 times, thus creating shifts for 168 days (24 weeks).

This pattern can be broken into time on, and off from the start date (June 13 here)
Day Shift (yellow) | 3on, 7off, 2on, 7off, 2on, 7off | = 28 days |
Night Shift (green) | 5off, 2on, 8off, 2on, 7off, 2on, 2off | = 28 days |
To build this pattern we must run through the New Job Wizard for each type of shift.
Step 1 - Making the Day Shift
Invoke the New Job Wizard using this button and run through each step.
|
Don't forget to choose the colour! |
|
Enter rates for these shifts. |
|
The pattern starts from the start date (13-June) – so this is day 1
The Cycle is 28 days We will repeat the cycle 5 more times (6 x 28 = 168 = 24 weeks) Click the boxes to indicate the working days 3on, 7off, 2on, 7off, 2on, 7off |
Press submit and the shift will be created using this pattern for the next 24 weeks.
